Nineteen of the Russian's 21 titles have been earned on hard surfaces

A revitalized Medvedev claimed his first title for 882 days with success over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament championship match.

Medvedev, a former top-ranked player, has had a challenging season, achieving just one win at the big events and experiencing a difficult moment at the US Open.

Medvedev's varied form on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serve in specific - caused him exiting of the elite rankings and ultimately parting ways with long-time coach his previous coach.

Now working with Johansson and his other coach, the tennis star has gradually progressed in the last few weeks - culminating in a tightly fought competitive win over opponent Moutet.

This represents his first trophy since the Rome competition and first on a hard surface since that period of that year.

Success also indicates he has secured 21 championships at twenty-one various competitions.

"For the first time I'm at a event with my both daughters together, so to win a championship is particularly special," commented ranked player Medvedev.

"This championship is in dedication of my second daughter my daughter, because the first title I won when my child my daughter was born was for her."

Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his previous six championship matches, including in that event in the past months.

Medvedev's retrieving strategy and regular reactions on the tennis court had prompted some to wonder if his capacity to play at the elite level was over.

But the athlete has made changes in recent weeks, making an effort to advance forward and compete aggressively, reinforced by an enhanced service.

He fought back from a break down in the opening set against the difficult opponent, securing four of the last five exchanges to take the lead.

The pair swapped service breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, attempting for his initial professional title, took control to force a final set.

The opponent defended four early-game break points in a tight third set before the champion won the break to fifteen to close out the victory.

Fittingly, the winner secured the win with a point at the net area, with Moutet incapable to manage a return after over two and a half hours.
